Lowering Expectations

Under-Promise and Over-Deliver. Amazon does a world class job of fudging the calendar in such a way that I'm a happy camper every time I purchase from them. To the extent that they've spoiled me, apparently. If a business tells me my package will arrive in a week, I expect it in three days.

Apple's doing their part to set me straight, though. They Under-Promise on the delivery date and then keep that promise.

Tough love.

I hear you man, still waiting on my new wireless keyboard. Says it will ship sometime next month. ugh.

Yeah, Amazon is pretty cool. I did recently have a disappointment when a shipment actually arrived on the estimated date. I was so totally expecting it three days after I ordered it!

Try ordering something from Half.com some time. That'll fix you right up.

"What is the size of your package?"

Haha. That is what the sexy feminine voice asks when trying to send a package through Fedex. I worked with a guy at Fedinkos (Fedex Kinkos) and the first time he heard that, he had to hang up the phone because he was laughing so hard. It was automated, so the computer did not take offense.
